In the 1930’s at the start of his rise to power, Hitler actually did do a great deal of good for the German people. Why else do you think that they later willingly followed him into the Hell that he eventually led them into?

So, if he also started out as a socialist, what you are saying is that a certain amount of socialism is not necessarily such a bad thing in the beginning after all. Perhaps both total socialism and total capitalism can eventually lead to a from of fascism, which then can lead to an evil dictatorship. The very idea of human beings banning together to form a strong government to do some of the things that they could not do for themselves is certainly not an evil in itself. But, like anything else that humanity does in extreme can lead to problems. So, fascism itself is neither from the left nor the right, but from an extreme application of either. To me at least it would be just as bad to follow the extreme right wing tea party types as to follow out and out socialists. What is needed is a government that has a moderate and healthy blend of both political philosophies!!

Getting past all the hysterical name calling and redefinition of political terminology, can we agree that allowing corporations and the ultra-rich to control governmental policy is wrong headed and dangerous? I say that any politician of any party that willfully turns power over to corporate profit pigs needs to be unelected. We’ve got to get to some resemblance of a government of, by and for the PEOPLE! No?

And now you know what conservatives are trying to conserve. Their advantage.

Try reading history. Hell, try reading Wikipedia. Fascism is a rightist philosophy focused on the absolute control of government by one person.Socialism is the government controlled by and working for the benefit of ALL the people it serves, taking a specifically activist role.Hitler took a party that happened to be called “National Socialist” and made it 100% fascist. In fact, his brownshirts attacked actual socialists and Communists (ALSO not the same thing, despite the blowhards on FoxNews). Documented fact. Lots and lots and lots of documented facts.By contrast, your calling it the same doesn’t make it so.Calling progressives fascists is just saying “good is evil.” It is a fact-free, senseless statement.
