I can remember the very same video conference with the company I worked for and we all got a nifty aluminum water bottle with the stupid company name on the side as a bonus……..woosh! THEN, the turned around and sent all the work to India and gave 90% of the company a pink slip and reduced an American work force of about 300 on one floor of our building to approximately 50 or less and have since gotten it down to about 20. The area I worked in was a group of about 50 or 60 and it was reduced to 9. I managed to retired before the pink slips came out……..lucky me (not)
How odd. I get a weeks pay for a vacation bonus (and a 28 day vacation), six weeks pay for a Christmas bonus, and three days pay if I don’t take any sick days every year.I haven’t taken a sick day in 22 years.
