When my older brother went into band in elementary school, he got trombone. As for my father, I’m forgetting already how he got roped into accordion.
I played tuba all through school – still do some 35 years later. With 6 kids all in school and all playing instruments, nobody noticed me much. Of course, they made me practice in the pantry…..
