I wish the NSA would monitor Commonwealth Financial, which has called me 700 times in the last two years looking for Kim P———.

First, the actions go back a long way as “spooks” have always wanted to be spooky, and just look at J.Edgar Hoover if you think it’s a new problem.

Second consideration, and reason not to use any “Windows” product, Microsoft has long made their system about the worse security sieve out there. Several iterations ago the government ordered us all NOT TO INSTALL their “upgraded system”, because it was open to hackers, like those at Microsoft looking to steal developers software!!

While threats from all kinds of nuts have increased, MAC OS has always been more secure, and it isn’t just because “so few” use it. Never had a virus in well over a decade of use, but can’t say the same for the servers I’ve gone to that use “Macrocrash”. They die, but I’ve avoided the infection simply by using a stronger defense, called MAC.

@dtroutma, I have been using MS operating systems since Win 3.1 (and MS-DOS before that), which puts me at what… 20+ years and I have never had a virus either. It is not just about the operating system, it is also about the user.

Ed, it also makes you the only person in the world NOT to have a problem! Do you ever turn the system on and go to the “web”?? The folks at Norton and others, like our military code writers among others, have always been busy with Gates’ systems. It also has to do with reliability, disregarding malware and viruses, just the crashes any MIcrosoft user experiences are enough to drive anyone nuts.

I know some teachers, and the ones I know are very caring. They make up for, try to make up for things the government used to supply but don’t anymore. So if you want to dis teachers, at least say; “some teachers don’t care about kids” But like the “welfare queen” that I’m sure you believe in, They are few and far between. Some people are wonderful, like I know an eye dr. who donates time and money helping poor kids to get vision therapy is one of them. Not all people are so eager to kick people whilst they are down.
