“bring it back to me, stained with his blood”.

Violence, I would say it is in their blood.

And to think how we cheered the overthrow of Mubarak! Ah what a tangled web we weave, in Egypt, Libya, numerous African nations, Iraq, Afghanistan, you know, those great successes, just about like ‘Nam, but at least it’s become a trading partner and source for our cheap clothing!!!

“No slaves were used to build the pyramids. That’s just Judeo-Christian mythology.”Actually it was Herodotus who claimed the pyramids were built by slaves. Christians just accepted his myth, along with a lot of other Greek beliefs. We now know the pyramid crews were free men, who drank a a lot of beer to make it through the week. Some things never change!

Ah, I see you are a historian and a scholar. When I was a history grad student I never used a web link to the Discovery Channel site as a reference.

I’ve never heard of this Judeo-Christian myth that Hebrew slaves built the pyramids. The time of their captivity dates to about 1600-1200 BC, which is after many of the pyramids were constructed. Your assertion does not disprove Hebrew captivity in Egypt only your ignorance..

Herotodus got a lot right, but he also passed on a lot of crap, especially about warfare. “The winners write the history.”
