I think I know what happened. The Grey River dam burst again and flooded Geech town yesterday. The water has gone down some, but is still not quite gone. Dad found out about this and took Emmy Lou, her mom, Taffy, Alvin and Dink out of harms way.. They didn’t want us to see an empty spot, so they put last weeks strip on so we could could see it just in case the oily water got to Emmy Lou’s town.
