Um… Kathe….. she asked whether they own the dry cleaners because both businesses charge more for women’s items.
California, where I live, passed a law maybe 10 years ago, that hair salons, dry cleaners, and the like could not charge men and women different prices for the same service.
The price of the “businesswoman’s lunch” is not affected, of course….cos that’s just the name of the special and you’re not forced to order by gender.

A great many women’s shirts are MUCH smaller and more simple than men’s shirts…soft, collarless, sleeveless, etc.
Anyway, NOTHING in that law precludes a service provider from charging more for extra service …6 little pleats on the front of a woman’s shirt can legally cost the same amount extra to press as the complicated and fussy front of a mans formal shirt, with its pleated ruffles.
