Thanks to modern technology, you can now talk to yourself wherever you are.

Jeff has a big case on himself!

Phone still on the wall – and the operator had to do the dialing – I am guessing the 30s or 40s. Rotary dial phones began to turn up during the 50s – along with only needing the operator if you were placing a long distance call. In those days, offices had a PBX switchboard and an operator who had to ring each phone in the office separately, then connect the line from the incoming call to the line for which ever person the caller wanted to speak to. If the person whom the caller wanted was not in his office, the operator took down a message.

There’s been nobody home at that place for years!

You do get a recorded message when yoiu dial 911 in some large cities. Then it takes a cop 30 minutes to get there. But they want to take our guns so we can’t defend ourselves.

Goodbye, friends. We lose our free Go.comics this week. I will miss all the comments, and my favorite comic, Mutt & Jeff.

I used to call myself on my mobile once or twice but only for a few seconds as I would drain my credit.

But I was a lot younger and stupid then.
