    [Referring back to Tuesday—utility bills]A BIG problem with public utilities is that the ‘regulatory agencies’ who are supposed to oversee them and try to control their depredations have executives and senoir staff who first worked for the utilities tthey allegedly regulate. Talk about a conflict of interest!!!!!!

    A friend had the “latest and greatest” exercise machine and he told me that the most exercise he got out of it was when he carried it up from the basement to put in the garage sale.

    Not to point out any one product for criticism, but the one that you hang on your door to do pull-ups does not work!

    @ Susan;

    Yes, they do, and "if you order within the next two hours, we’ll send you TWO of this wonderful product. "

    Ads like this run for a good 6-8 months on the mids- shift!!

    @Puzzle and Oldman; Not to cast a pall on things, but Cheerios is still pushing the fact that their product ‘helps reduce total cholesterol’ … yeah, right.. fine print says ‘up to 3%’..3% of a 245 reading ain’t much, but they brag onwardsand thumb their nose at the FDA. Stone cold walks and NO meats and eggs brings it down to tolerable levels, despite MD’s attempts to kill me with Lipitor and its ilk. A stroke and balance problems eliminates the ‘go for long walks’ cure, so we get ourselves up a tree medically and the MD’s and magic potion people try to cure our illness but kill the patient with side effects. Oh, well, if I last 17 more months, I’ll have outlived everyone on both sides of my lineal lines, save for my mother’s side, where her sister and mother and THEIR mothers lived into their upper 90’s. Rant officially over…. (phew!!)
