Not sure what the deal is with Florida, but I know a couple of guys that headed there after their second and third divorces. Evidently it’s a haven for guys trying to squirm out of their obligations.
When it becomes possible for a baby to exist on its own, even with high level medical assistance, then it should be considered as a complete person, until then it is a potential person. This is occurring at an earlier start age now with better and better care of premature babies. It now would seem that this is now occurring at some 24 weeks or six months. And therefore it should indeed be illegal to abort (with the possible direct danger to the life of the mother to be, as the only reason for abortion after this time). This would mean that all abortions should be illegal after the second trimester pf pregnancy. It is incredibly stupid to have a hospital working very hard to make sure that pre mature babies as early as six months survive to be viable adults, while at the same time abortion clinics are killing such viable pre mature babies, usually just down the street from said hospitals!!!
I can’t figure out why you’d think that politicians and bureaucrats are in any position to determine whether a person’s pain is legitimate or not. That is totally inappropriate, by any sane standard of evaluation.
People are routinely denied pain medications for conditions known to the medical community to be excruciatingly painful. To write these people off as ‘drug seeking hippies’ is despicable.
The reality is that the drugs ‘approved’ by the government for pain are frequently ineffective, except in terms of lining the pockets of pharmaceutical executives and shareholders.
A foetus born by a destitute woman who knows she has NOT got the resources to raise it will likely suffer less pain through abortion than through the life you are willing to force upon that child.
I recommend viewing “Through the Wormhole” when they rerun “When Does Life Begin” on the Science Channel.Morgan Freeman presents all sides, including some you haven’t thought of.

More like anything to keep men from having to take any responsibility for their fertility status.
Until women have unrestricted access to whatever birth control they need, regardless of their financial position, they shouldn’t be left holding the parenting bag. Nor should they be ‘punished and humiliated’ for their partner’s irresponsibility.
The bottom line is that living children must be seen to be a social responsibility, beyond the immediate financial status of the mother. Orphaned children – whether literal or political; warehoused children are effective orphans – tend to grow up with emotional issues. If we aren’t willing as a society to raise and educate all children, even those born to the poor, then we get what we deserve, and it’s not pretty.
