I once had a bookstore and people (not entirely kids) would come in as ask, “Is this a library?” My stock reply was, “Sort of; for a small fee, you get to keep the book.” The library and I has similar phone numbers (two interior numbers reversed) and would often get misdials for the other. If we knew the answer, we would give it and never let on that the call was in error. They had a good idea of my stock and being a trivia generalist, I could answer most of the information questions.
I take my children to the library once or twice a week depending on how quickly they read their books – I always loved to read and so they love to read. Well 4 out of 6, which isn’t bad.
In my earlier note, I typoed has instead of had. Just to show I am literate, but affected by effective tremor, and spell check does not catch different words.

I am glad to see the strip is promoting libraries and reading. I work in a library, so good publicity is appreciated.

My grandkids would rather visit a library than a store.
