A guy calls the cops and says there’s a couple of thugs breaking into his garage. The dispatcher says they have no units in area it would be 45 minutes. The man calls back in 5 minutes and says never mind, he shot them both. Within 5 minutes 4 spuads appear and apprehend the thugs in the act.Cop says to the man I thought you said you shot them? Man says I thought you said there were no units in the area?
I’ve had a scanner in the car since forever. One afternoon, while sitting in the back drive-through, I heard a Township PD Officer ask for a tow truck. Then he gave the license number of the car. It was my wife’s. NBD.
Later, I found out that I knew the Officer fairly well, too. Thanked him….
