“Ancient history is forgotten. O’s current failures should be shouted out constantly so we don’t make that same mistake again.”30 years does not ancient history make. The only reason you want to shout any and every imagined scandal from the roof top is because the president is not Republican. If any of these scandals had happened to Reagan or either Bush, you’d be defending them.
“W”, iraq, Afghanistan, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle, Ashcroft, Gonzales, CFR’s like for offshore drilling re-written by industry to increase their profits, and they STILL ignore them, yes, the Bush administration IS the “gift that keeps on giving”, and YES! There is adequate reason to “blame Bush/Cheney” because the damage is STILL happening today! It is NOT just “history”! (Just ask a vet with prosthetics, or a soldier still being shot at in Afghanistan, among other things.)
Oh bull. You won’t believe anything he says anyway. You’ve doing the same since before he was elected, and you’re insincere when you say you want him to tell the truth. You don’t care one bit about the truth or else you’d be admitting the GOP’s role in these as well.
You make a good point. I can only speak for myself, and I think you may have noticed that, although I don’t have my pitchfork and torch ready, I have been seriously disappointed in the failures of the Obama administration. On the other hand, there have been so many people with pitchforks and torches that I recognize that my disappointment will not hold a candle to the hate and discontent that some posters add constantly. Although I do not defend the indefensible, I often don’t “jump on the pile”. This does not mean I’m giving him a pass, although your post points out to me that it probably looks like I am. Thank you for making me aware.
“Message to Barack Obama: Tell the truth and the investigation is over. No more questions.”Perhaps he should emulate Reagan and answer every question with “I don’t recall.”
“And you claim everything wrong with the Dems is imagined.”No, I don’t. I’ve never made that claim. I’m not even a Democrat. I left the party during the Clinton Administration.
“Duh…. if O had not spent our grandchildrens money as well as record level deficit spending then fiscal conservatives wouldn’t be cutting budgets wherever they can in an attempt to save this nation!!!”Duh, the annualized growth of federal spending thus far under Obama is the lowest since before Reagan. The growth under G W Bush was the highest since Reagan.
If they want to make cuts that will count, they can start with Corporate Welfare. In a free market capitalist culture, no corporation is too big to fail.
They can end the war on drugs.
Cut foreign aid.
And they could close a lot of tax loopholes for corporations and unearned income earners.
Oh – our grandchildren’s money was spent by the Reagans and Bushes long before Obama thought of running for office.

“Ancient history is forgotten. O’s current failures should be shouted out constantly so we don’t make that same mistake again.”
I finally agree with you. Let’s take it one step further:
By this logic, we should be shouting out the failures of past administrations constantly so we don’t make those same mistakes.
But when some of us do bring those significant failures up, we are told that it’s in the past, and it’s not important.
Please make up your mind. You can’t have it both ways.

It’s hard to remember nothing important…but the GOP always seems to, while forgetting its own scandals.

If we’re going to fix it, we need to repeal the Patriot act, just for starters.
Is your side in for that?

Too bad Obama forgets. He simply forgets about one scandal and jumps to another one.
