Good morning Vagabonds. My penpal in Turkey introduced me to his friend who lives a subway ride from me here in NY. We will be setting up a time to meet and play Scrabble in Turkish. But I’m afraid my Turkish is now rusty.
Morning, Vagabonds.Trouble getting into ByE again this morning. Arye, you amaze me. When I try to play Hangman in German or Spanish, I find it’s way beyond my scope.

Good morning to all Vagabonds.Had a good weekend for a change. Had some rain very early Sat. AM but then it was sunny, hot and humid. A good night to watch the fireworks. Sun. was another sunny, hot and humid day and the rain didn’t come until about 11:00 PM and wasn’t for long. Today, back to the clouds, warm and humid again. Just have to live with it.
Done with the gardening and my walk for the day. It got up to 91 yesterday. Third straight day. Actually, I’m not complaining………….I just have to change my schedule and work around it.
I’ve been getting lots of organizing done inside the house during this heat wave. Closets are my goal this week. The women’s shelter is always in need of clothing, kitchen stuff etc. so it’s a good reason to become efficient.

Went this AM to my once a yr. specialist(cancer)- from 2008she said more or less your fit as a youth. SO relieved and shesaid see ya next year when you come up from GA.

I’am devestated when I heard about those firemen thatlost their lives out West. That whole area is one tinder boxafter another…………………………………………………………………..
Florchi, other than Death Valley, the area we are in is the epicenter of this heat wave. 117 yesterday, and 115 right now. Dangerous, deadly heat. One fatality reported in Vegas yesterday, more likely.The radio reports that more American die from excessive heat than any other weather-related reason, including tornadoes & hurricanes.
