Really, even I remember this thread.

I just jumped from Doonsebury to Drabble. It’s the summer of reruns I guess.These artists need some time off though.

Well, last time it was Washington Crossing the Delaware and this time he has a pitchfork in his hand. American Gothic with Echo? Did they ever finally GET that they weren’t really related?

Yup he will be George Washington crossing the Delaware.

Was this from earlier this year? The copyright is 2013. Unusual for reruns to be so recent.

Apparently we have long memories. The “original” Pageant of Painters ran 6/13/11 to 6/25/11. Last summer Norman did the murder mystery cruise in July and there was a 7/2/12 reference back to “last summer” when he did Pagent of Painters. In the first run his cell phone rang and ruined it. Anyway, not a rerun, just a return to the Pageant around the same time of year.

(Yeah, I had to look back through the archive .. I had to know).

Didn’t he do that last year? And he was supposed to be George Washington? And his phone rang?

Just rehashing old ideas from last year, I guess.

I downloaded all of them before the outage, so I can see the comics in one tab, but not this one. I get all the comments, though.

@BRO6164: IIRC, they were related via a couple of marriages. Norm and Echo think they’re related, but they really aren’t.

Yes, Mrs D, I remember Washington with the cell phone, so he’s just doing the same activity with a new role. In any case, Daddy Drabble is correct.
