You posted quotes that seemed to indicate that Nixon had "used the IRS against “his enemies”…BUT you omitted the Nixon angst against the far right John Birch Society; and the 1973-1974 Congress hearing and the #2 article of (uncompleted) impeachment for “endeavoring to obtain from IRS ‘confidential info’ on tax returns”…-This does not say that the IRS did what Nixon’s aides wanted, and Nixon resigned so the public never saw a floor debate or exposure of Nixon and IRS violating any American’s privacy or rights! -IMO it is the LEFT from FDR and JFK and Wm.Clinton using IRS to politicize and harass “enemies” opposed to the Leftwing administrations.-Radish, you omitted the fact that this history article does not show GOP presidents Reagan and Ford and the Bush 1 and 2 as trying to do what this Obama IRS is doing to opponents of Obama.-We need to get a Flat Tax system and eliminate the corrupt cesspool of the IRS to truly reform the US government.
