Not long ago people were whining about Joel and Rufus,

now they’re whining about Slim.

There’s no pleasing some folks, it seems.

You could always “smoke” the ham later

Slim will be very sick by the time Clovia gets home!

Slim will end up in jail by the time Clovia gets home from what is upstairs.

Maybe this will turn into “The Seven Year Itch”, and Marilyn Monroe will be upstairs.

I read Gasoline Alley all through grade school and I always liked Slim, he always seemed kind and thoughtful.

I didn’t know they rented out the upstairs.

Meanwhile Clovia is having troubles at the airport luggage kiosk. It turns out that the suspicious fellow sitting next to her on the plane has the same brand of luggage as Clovia! And they’ve gotten each others bags by mistake! She’s on her way to the hotel unaware that the suspicious man is chasing her down.

I’m guessing Scancarelli has never cooked for himself… no real-world cookbook would tell you to garnish something before cooking it

I’m glad he’s baking and not boiling the ham. One way of adding flavor to a large cut of meat is to cut small slits in the surface and insert fresh herbs such as Basil, Thyme, Oregano, or chives. We raise fresh herbs for cooking and it works well. I also have a small bay tree for bay leaves. Hope Slim finds parsley and not some other less desirable green leafy substance.

Maybe Slim will lose some weight doing his own cooking.I was surprised there was upstairs tenant. Do Slim and Clovia own the house or is it an apartment house?

@marvee, Someone like Paul1963 would remember better than I do, but as I recall, she and both guys were in a car together, the driver lost control and the car commenced to barrel roll down hill, and at that point Clovia cried “I love you Slim!” As for whining, I don’t want either Rufus or Slim. I’m still lobbying for an update on Chipper and his family.

Slim better be careful! Friday the 13th has come on a Thursday this month!
