PHANTOM: P. saw a drawing of the antique balloon on Ted West’s business card (the one that was in his wallet).JUDGE PARKER: Ned says the “C” word (Con).MARY WORTH: Elinor finds out Beth has a boyfriend…and also finds out that she is the last to know.
PHANTOM (a Wild Guess): The title of this story is “The Aeronaut,” which a defined as the pilot of an airship or balloon. So I am going to guess that involvement with the aeronaut is what got Ted West involved in the drug deal. The guys P. recently rounded up and sent to jail didn’t include the ringleader…I’m guessing the ringleader is in the balloon. Because of the balloon models in Ted’s apartment, I wonder if the aeronaut is someone close to him – a relative perhaps (now there’s a really wild guess!).
Mark Trail – Uuhhh, lessee. Forest fire, right? Forest fires burn trees, don’t they? Are we sure we wanna be climbing trees right now?Phantom – Florchi, I always enjoy your guesses. You seem to usually be right.
Mark Trail – Cherry doesn’t seem to be very smart about this. Why run for a tree when they’re right by the water. (They may not know how deep the water is). Mark thought that the bear was more intent on escapaing the fire than on eating and Cherry should know that too.Phantom – Interesting guess, Florchi.A3G – Margo has hardened her heart to protect it, but that’s no way to live.Judge Parker – Neddie acknowledges that some people may think it’s a con. Sam should have the means to find out for sure.Mary Worth – I don’t understand how Beth has managed to spend so much time with Tom. Elinor could rightfully be angry about being so deceived.
Mary Worth: Now it’s going to hit the fan. Strange that the neighbor looks like a carbon copy of Elinor.
Mark Trail: Bears also climb trees. Where is the rifle Cherry had? Did she throw it away in the rush to the lake? Shelley will never leave the city again after this adventure. Wes can go camp by himself.
Rex Morgan: How come Milton is able to figure this all out but the engineers couldn’t?
Phantom: Is there anyone in the balloon and after they shoot it down do the have a kit to patch it?
Rex – @woodworker, good question. Why wasn’t it caught earlier? Is Milton an engineer or an entrepeneur? Why is he explaining all this to Heather? Why is he explaining it to us? All I want to see is him having a heart attack.
Rex I am ashamed to admit that I never realized that Dr. Morgan’s first name is a play on the abbreviation for prescription or “Rx”. That is until it was pointed out over in Gasoline Alley today.
