There are certain catchers I can think of who would never trigger the Armourdillo 2000. (I remember a “Peanuts” episode where Schroeder kept walking the ball back to Charlie Brown. Finally, Charlie Brown asks him, “Why don’t you just throw me the ball?” Schroeder replies, “Listen, if the other team saw me trying to throw the ball to you, they’d KNOW I could never throw it as far as second base!”)
