The vote was more against Nancy Polsi and his democrat opponent rather than what a pervert he is.

Just proves “the right” is more driven by political ideology than ethics.

    Sounds like Arkansas

Except Sanford wasn’t banging his intern and then lying about it under oath after.

Bottom line is South Carolina chose to have this slug lead them into the future. We keep electing people that we probably would not associate with.

he left his family and his staff and his security detail to fly down to his argentine mistress. when he asked his ex to be part of his campaign, she said no. later, he creates a domestic disturbance with his ex. but, then it is south carolina(charleston), the same area that still doesn’t believe they lost the civil war. the same area where general westmoreland and general mark clark are considered military “geniuses.”

If he would have run off with a guy, y’all would love him….

Besides Clinton, Kennedy and company taught us your “private life” doesn’t matter. Did you forget what you preached then??

I’m just glad he likes girls. Even though that isn’t in style for pols these days.

The major objection SHOULD be that he left his office with no notice and no contact information and no idea when or whether he would ever return. That is dereliction of duty. But that seems to not disqualify him for office, in the minds of the voters in SC.

Just like the voters of the US were given a choice for a vice-presidential candidate who decided to quit being governor after serving just half a term.

This should not be a partisan issue. If he was my employee and just took off, he would not have a job when he returned home, unless he had a really good, verifiable story. In this instance, such a story could not exist.

And for those who consider him just a philanderer, remember that he did break into his ex-wife’s house. The fact that he probably was not charged (again, boys will be boys) does not excuse the fact that he was caught breaking and entering.

There were sixteen Republicans in the primary. Those morons still chose Sanford.

“There’s a reason he got elected though.”

Yep. And it has to do with rednecks in South Carolina rejecting family values, honesty, integrity and responsibility.

I am deeply disappointed in the State of South Carolina, where once I lived. I expect they will be deeply disappointed in Mark Sanford…again.Folks, it’s a HEAVILY Republican district, in a gerrymandered state like most states are today. It’s amazing that Busch-Colbert came from nowhere, with no voter recognition, and came much closer than she should have (compared to past voter patterns of Republican: Democrat). It’s not really surprising she lost, and you can draw no large conclusions from that. You might draw some from the narrowness of Sanford’s win.Regardless of Sanford’s morals or lack thereof, he abandoned his post without even telling his second-in-command, for personal reasons, on the taxpayer nickel. This is something deserving of impeachment. Let us not forget that.

This guy is a real loser. he went plying around on taxpayer money. He broke into his ex-wives home.He isa complete scuz-ball!This is a very red state that has been RED-MAPPed! Gerrymandered to make sure no Democrat will ever win.

She did come remarkably close even against those obstructians, but she was running against someone you shouldn’t trust to walk your dog.
