Folks who don’t understand how government agencies are funded (like the Senators trying for a bill to “micro-manage” the FAA just like Republicans in the House have been doing for a long time), which means when cuts come, the first available place is to shorten work hours through furlough or RIFs and freezes on hiring to fill vacant positions. Having been furloughed (briefly) back when Ronnie was running the show, and did the same thing, it’s nothing new.

And speaking of screwing up air traffic by getting rid of controllers, Ronnie also holds the record on that in his union busting efforts.

Most agencies faced with having to cut ’"sequester reductions" with only 7 months left in the fiscal year, had to turn to personnel first, as other funds had already been spent, notably on contracting, and contractors got their bucks first, as usual.

yes, the traitorous republicans called for cuts they wouldn’t make themselves and the spineless democrats wouldn’t cut the things the republicans wanted so they all screwed us in order to attempt to protect themselves.

Although there was an almost insignificant cut in the rate of increase in government spending. No actual budgets were injured in the making of this “cut”.
