MARY WORTH: Finally! The comments in AzCentral are coming in fast and furious, although many are trite criticisms of the colorist.
REX MORGAN: How nice that Sarah’s wording will segue into her parents’ announcement. I’ll bet that Sarah will be so excited about it.
SALLY FORTH: I know that many Sunday comics are not continuations of the week day versions, but could this scene be happening in their hotel room and shouldn’t Ted be wishing his mother a happy mother’s day?
Judge Parker – And on and on.Phantom – Yeah. What is Mandrake up to?Rex Morgan – To heck with moderation! When you go to a nice restaurant, the key to enjoying it is to pig out!Prince Valiant – Score one for Democracy!Flash Gordon – Flash Gordon meets Secret Agent X-9!
JP – Sophia is a bright girl who really keeps up with current events. I wonder if Thalia meant she had no place to stay, or does she mean nowhere to go for the money.Rex – For many, it’s a matter of health not to pig out. You can still enjoy the food, atmosphere and companionship.Mary Worth – NOW the phone should ring.A3G – The recap doesn’t mention Tommie’s letter from her mother. That will be recapped tomorrow.Prince Valiant – Val is a true royalist. I wish the new system of governance well.
Mary Worth: You could see that one coming. Is there just going to be one or are there going to be more? When did Beth change her blouse? Doesn’t any one have any idea of what they have drawn before?
Phantom: If it’s a maquerade cruise then P. won’t have to change his clothes. Who are we going to fight on this cruise, pirates?
Rex Morgan: Regardless of how emphatic Milton was, Rex can’t tell Heather anything unless he ends up in the hospital at death’s door.
Prince Valiant: i like today’s strip but i wish it were the conclusion of this story, looks like more from Lockbramble next week. How’d the former king find sobriety?Phantom: Walker’s thought bubble in the last panel questions Mandrake’s seemingly innocent trip to the jungle. The two couples are going on a cruis. Florchi I hope you’re following the Phantom Sunday strip. Funky: I like these more serious storylines in FW. This one has potential to remind me of the strip I used to like so much Mark Trail: today i’m going to make sure i have at least one radio with new batteries. Where I live in St Louis our weather threat is tornadoes. Also, near the confluence of the Mississipi and Missouri rivers, flooding.
Sally Forth This strip was so mean-spirited today that it disgusted me. I liked “Heaven’s Love Thrift Shop” much better – it was so close to home it brought a tear to my eye.
Funky I’m beginning to think that Darin’s bio-dad has something to do with production of the television film being made from Les’ book “Lisa’s Story”.
It looks like Frankie is involved in producing a version of the story before Les finishes his screenplay. That will make Les’s version less interesting and might cancel it altogether.
