Now we know — if we didn’t already — that the Senate has no respect for the 90% of Americans who wanted this law (and would prefer more), compared to the threats or bribes of the leadership of the NRA. Remember that the leadership of the NRA is not representing its OWN membership at this point, most of whom approve of sensible restrictions like background checks; they are representing the gun manufacturers. Period.
It’s hard for someone whose head isn’t being crushed by tinfoil to understand how an organization whose sole purpose is to promote the completely unregulated sale of guns and ammunition has anything to do with free speech.
