Guilty, but unbowed Trek fan…
I’m a big Trek fan and I liked the last movie. “You must have faith…That the universe will unfold as it should.”
I have been a Trekkie most of my life, and I hated the last Star Trek movie. More action, but not a single Shatner-style drop kick in the entire film.
In general, ST, like most franchises, works best when it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Given how dark “Into Darkness” almost certainly is, I expect to find it meh. But I’ll wait for reviews to decide whether I’ll see it.
No way I’m ever spending money on “alternate universe Trek” when I’ve already got three good TV series and 5-6 movies on DVD.
For once, I’ll be in the theater the first weekend!
