No wonder he booted the grounder. He needs to bend at the knees and get his butt down. Never bend at the waist to field a grounder, unless you’re an outfielder charging the ball. Either that or Gil forgot to salt the infield.

P1- I bet that little buttwipe Hard Knox has some pointers for Jimmy Jumbo. Ohh, Spring training must have been rigorous, JJ looks slimmed dowm. P3- BB Stuff’s stick looking forearm is finishing in an awkward position. 6th inning, strike three! And on to the 7th….

Hmm, I wonder if you can file a lawsuit for a booted grounder. Too bad there isn’t an outspoken budding young lawyer in the infield to give us an opinion on that.

The drawing of Jimmy’s arm in P2 is awful. Actually, the whole frame is.

Gilfan, as for the lawsuit for he booted grounder, Knox would tell you that since even the best fielders make errors and he wasn’t doing anything different from what a good fielder does (bending from the waist notwithstanding), you would have a hard time showing that Jimmy’s conduct fell below the standard of care. Also, since Bobby struck out the next batter without a run scoring, the lack of damages would preclude recovery. Now, would you like to pay for that legal opinion by cash, check or credit card? (Sorry, but I had to play to the stereotype of greedy lawyers; didn’t want to disappoint anyone.)

They are trying to Jimmy is so distracted by the lawsuit that he can’t focus. Doesn’t know he’s batting, fielding miscues, next is a mistake on the base paths. Knox about to feel the wrath of BB.

Somewhere, in a parallel universe, Gil lives in Britain or India and he’s coaching cricket.

Just a thought… should the ump wait until the ball crosses the plate in P3 before calling strike 3?

In that same parallel universe, Gil is coaching rugby instead of American football.
