Voice: Obama trounced you in 2012! ...The people have spoken! ...They like Obamacare and fair taxes...they don't want Medicare vouchers...
RYAN BUDGET REDUX
Ryan: La, la, la...I can't HEAR you! ...La, la, la...
I have many reasons why I don’t like the Republican’s budget. I’m on medicare and don’t like their voucher system. They did nothing to cut the military, they would expand it. They also play the same spending game of “reducing spending increases,” not actually reducing government spending.
Unfortunately the Democrats come along with tax increases and do nothing to restrict spending, to the contrary, they expand it. So once more, it’s politics as usual; Frick and Frack trying to convince us their way is the best way.
Wow Robby Rogers is the biggest liar on gocomics.Winning with 51% of the vote as the incumbent is a trouncing? HaMost people DO NOT support Obama-care.http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/health_care_law
Most Americans think taxes are high enough or too high already. Fact.So that’s lie, lie and then another lie.
Ryan’s “new” budget assumes at least two things that are not true now. He uses figures from last summer. He assumed that no taxes would be raised, when taxes on the 1% went up 3 point something percent..He assumed that the sequester would not happen, and it did.For someone who is supposed to be good at math he is really bad at math. Also bad at disguising his hatred of Medicare, Madicaid, and Social Security, which I paid into for 35 years and I want to keep.
Obama is willing to negotiate anything & everything, including entitlements. Most Republicans want entitlements turned into vouchers that will hurt people who rely on Social Security & Medicare. In the meantime, they are unwilling to budge on revenue despite the fact that revenue is at a 50 year low as a portion of GDP.
http://thehill.com/homenews/house/288291-obama-pleads-with-house-dems-to-make-concessions-for-deficit-dealAs I’ve said before, the GOP is not serious about deficit reduction.
Great great cartoon. So much for all the cant about how the elephants have realized that there are more voters than those in their white, elderly male base.
Greece provides (or has provided up until now) retirement for all at 57 years old, and with full salary until death. It’s nothing like that here in the USA, so the comparison to Greece is weak at best.
Most Proggies don’t like it, they feel they are ok but the “unfortunates” need the help. Most Americans do not want the 1% to pay more, with 47% not paying any, seems the 1% is carrying too much of the load now.

cora, cora, cora, still going on about the Canadian system — Do you have any interest at all in learning something, or is your mind completely closed?

No o ne can argue the truth of this cartoon. It is 100% true. but the GOP is so lacking in integrity they will not see that truth. Pathetic.

Just one snag with the people wanting a government safety net program: what happens when the tax money runs out, as it did in Greece?
