The only serious plan out there that actually balances the budget is the Democratic Congressional Progressive Caucus’ budget. Unlike the Senate Democrats’ conservative plan, it balances the budget through a balance of tax increases and spending cuts, and creates jobs with government investment in infrastructure. Unlike the Republican budget, it actually contains numbers, specifies which loopholes would be closed, specifies what programs will be cut, and would create jobs rather than destroying them.
