I don’t think they get “luxury items” anymore. Some seasons they just get the clothes on their backs, and in areas where natural food is plentiful they don’t even give them rice (e.g. Season 16 Micronesia, Fans vs. Favourites).. I know it would suck for TV viewing not to be able to see good looking bodies in swimsuits & underwear, but as a Canadian I’d like to see a season in a cold environment. The advantage is we wouldn’t have to put up with seeing UGLY bodies in swimsuits & underwear. ;-)
I was excited about the first episode until I saw that people were too stupid to figure out how to get water from an animal drinking hole. None of them dug a collecting pool to let the sediment settle. They just skimmed the cruddy water and took that……………
