Hello, Vagabonds. Still copying my VHS s to DVD, no end in sight. Lorna Doone has a copy guard – oh well, it wasn’t my favorite, but I’m making a list of those movies that can’t be copied to DVD.
Hi Vagabonds..we’er in the 30s and overcast, although I saw a little sun a while ago..I beleave I know who your looking for David. I wont reveil him right now, but I’ll say he’s played a super news papper editor..Lorna Doone, isn’t that a cookie? ;-).Big HI to anyone coming..ttfn
@DKRAM: Yes, Lorna Doone is the name of the cookie the Red Cross feeds their blood donors after they donate, as well as the name of a movie as well as a Celtic hero..
David, I have my suspicions, but I don’t think the actor I have in mind ever did directing. He used to star with a white cockatoo?
I have a trivia question of my own. I woke up with an ear worm of a song from my childhood this morning, and I wondered if anyone else recognizes it.
The only time I draw my gunBelieve me it is not in fun.I shoot it fer defendin’ me.I shoot fer life and liberty.(Chorus)Bang goes old Betsy. My only gun is Betsy.I can travel far and wideWith Betsy by my side.
I suspect I am humming this song because I had a dream about waving around a 9 mil pistol in defense of my home. No, I didn’t shoot anyone, even in my dreams.
Funny thing about that song is that it is first person Davy Crockett speaking (singing?), but the only one I can remember actually singing it (and dancing) was Buddy Ebsen. That was in the Disneyland grand opening special with a bunch of dancers dressed up in gingham dresses. Looking things up, the actual recording was done by Jimmie Dodd (of the original Mickey Mouse Club) and the Sons of the Pioneers (Roy Rogers old group).
Quiet on the Coast here- started my next James Pattersonbook yesterday- NYPD RED- took two mos for the library toget it as it recently came off the NY Times best seller. Asusual- another page turner.

Dammit. Thought I submited earlier? Possibly not.>Woke up yesterday with a sore throat, that lessened as the day wore on.Today I woke up with a voice that is barely audible, and sounds like an over-loaded truck climbing a hill.> Just stopped to check my vitals: BP@12e/65 Pulse 82 temperature 96.0 (not unuasual for me).Coughing and nose blowing, clear & colorless.Don’t understand how I can get this way, yet show little or no symptoms? Other than what I feel. anyway?
Robert Blake, whose real name was Mickey Gubitosi, was also a famous child actor, not only for his work in Our Gang, but he also played Little Beaver in the Red Ryder series and appeared in 23 movies until 1947. Of course we all know him as Baretta.

OK, here’s the answer to the Our Gang quiz.a. John “Uh-huh” Collumb. Gus “Cap” Leonardc. “Mush and Milk”
Here’s an easier one:What famous Our Gang star grew up to be a famous actor and also a major director for the MASH TV show?

Arye, I apologize about not being able to send the photo. I guess it’s time to have the data on that crashed drive retrieved.
