I made a life decision some years ago that helped me lose and maintain a significant amount of weight. Don’t celebrate with food. I saved lots of money to. Though, my knickknack souvenir collection is pretty significant.
So Cathy has loads of laundry to do, dishes to wash, dusting, an ant problem, and piles of paper that magically reproduced overnight, and she wants to take up any spare time with socializing? Whooee, that is professional level procrastinating!

In panel 1 Cathy is subconsciously trying to extend her vacation. Too bad it does not work that way in real life. I think my daughters have it right – they always want to come back from our family vacations on a Saturday so they can have Sunday to get back into the swing of real life before going to work on Monday.
Another beautiful July day today – even if it is the middle of August. I hope you have a beautiful day too.
Personally, I’m almost always happy to see friends and family after returning home from a vacation. Maybe not all at once like Cathy here, but still. Of course, I do better in this area after I’ve had day or so to decompress and “return to reality” …
Next month, I will be in Westchester County NY for my brother in law’s remarriage and from 10/30 to around 11/06 I will be in London, UK where my brother will be having a four month residency as a Law Professor. As for the latter, I have never been “across the pond” before, so when I get back on 11/06, I will be taking the day after to rest off any jet lag and relax before going back to my normal routine.
