I will never comprehend the line of thinking that says pets = children. Our cats will get nothing for Christmas, and they won’t care. Because they’re CATS.
Personally, I think giving gifts to pets is a nice gesture, symbolically. It shows that others (or the owner/owners) are thinking about them and want to do something thoughtful. Of course, taking things to our Cathy-level of [eye-rolls] is another story. Ha.

While I don’t mind getting a gift for a beloved pet, this seems like a lot. And likely mine would ignore half of it and sit in the box.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!

I will never understand why it is so much easier to get presents for animals and people we know but aren’t responsible for.

My sister used to get scads of presents from her dog. Her husband died earlier this year, and there will be no gifts from her dog this Christmas. :’ (
