Are people still doing e-cards? I hated them so much that I asked everyone please don’t send them to me. I haven’t gotten one in ages, not sure if it’s because people don’t send them at all or they just don’t send them to me.
Every year, I saved the most recent card I received from a loved one. I have the last card sent to me by each deceased relative, and I treasure them.
I don’t like e-cards; I prefer paper cards that are sent in the mail. If I’m not on someone’s paper card list, then I’ll look at their pictures on social media. But I am doing social media less and less. It just seems so overdone and not genuine. I do not like blogs either. When my kids were younger, it was interesting to read that other people were going through the same experiences and frustrations that I was, but now they also seem overdone and pushy with their opinions. I do like e-invitations though. They are easy to RSVP to and put on the calendar.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Saturday! Have a great day!
I get one e-card a year from a member of the old gang that we don’t see very often anymore – like maybe one every 10 years or so. I am happy to get that one as it means they are still alive. I do prefer the paper cards though – especially the home made ones. One of my wife’s cousins (we met her on our trip to Germany in October) makes incredibly beautiful ones. Always look forward to that one.
Tonight is the last, thankfully, performance of a Christmas concert. Knew I should have refused to get involved with something else the weekend after Mary Poppins. Ah well, at least they provide the crew with some treats – like chocolate!
Just found out a few minutes ago that both daughters and my son-in-law will be home for Christmas. Thought for sure only one was going to be able to make it this year. That thought should keep me happy during tonight’s performance. (Why could the performers not have chosen a few more upbeat carols).

Yeah … somehow, all the “e-interactions” (while thoughtful) just aren’t the same as paper or in-person ones. I’ll take what I can get, though.
