MEthinks Cathy and her hubby don’t need to know more about budgeting their money. They earn good money and make money for their employers, too, so guess they will just have to learn how to follow their own budgets. If they fail, they will know, for sure, what they were doing wrong.
This lesson is long overdue, and probably too late. We all know they have 11 more years of overspending ahead of them. But hey, good luck! Even if they cut back a little on their spending, it would help.

Irving and Cathy may be spendthrifts that wouldn’t know how to plan, save, or budget their money correctly if their very lives depended on it, but they’re both fully-grown, married, independently-living adults. If they were staying with, and being financially supported by, Cathy’s parents while behaving the way they do then yes, I think Bill and Anne would have every right in the world to say something to the little “sponges.”
But that isn’t the case here so difficult as it may be for them to do, they need to just shut their mouths, mind their own business, and leave those two alone to either sink or swim on their own because that’s what growing up and being an adult is all about (or supposed to be all about anyhow): making your own decisions — whether they’re right or wrong — and learning how to take complete and total care of yourself without needing anyone else’s help …. not even your parents!

I sort of agree with those that say leave them alone to make their mistakes. However, if they do get in to far over their head I strongly suspect Cathy’s parents would have to bail them out. So really, her parents are just trying to protect their own future.
It was a fun weekend with Matilda. The kids did very well according to audience reaction. Now gearing up for Frozen with the juniors this weekend. I hope everyone had a day with no serious issues today.

I have found that my most effective way of saving money is eating at home and watching Netflix(no commercials).
