Cathy is being smart, but this is one time where I’m with Irving. I didn’t take my daughter on a planned vacation two years ago because we “couldn’t afford it” and now we REALLY can’t. Who knows when we’ll be able to do it? We should have just gone and had the experience.
Cathy is worried about $900 more when her average trip to the mall costs her almost that? Take the trip and give up new clothes and shoes for a couple of months. Might even be cheaper that way. But then this is Cathy we are talking about!
We are finally getting summer weather – but it is not our normal hot, dry days but more like Florida’s hot, humid days with showers almost every day. Ah well, better than colds and snowing. Please enjoy your day no matter what it is like outside.

Just go. Cut back on other stuff…like buying shoes and electronics and you’ll come out pretty soon. Experiences are more important than “things”.

That seems to be true for just about everything. Sort of like a free puppy. The accessories are the money pit.
