One time I got asked if we could clear space in the luggage by taking out my pair of shoes…the only shoes I was bringing aside from the ones I was wearing…by a person bringing 5 pairs of shoes in the luggage. I told her she can suffer with 4 extra pairs of shoes.
I’m a woman, and I have NEVER understood women’s obsession with shoes. I have three comfortable pairs – one runners (sneakers, I think, for you Americans), one flats and one heels – and I’m covered for all occasions.
I will never understand the obsession with shoes, but maybe that’s because I have big feet that don’t look great in strappy, “sexy” shoes. Nevertheless, it’s one thing to take up your closet with shoes (whatever makes you happy), but shoes can take up a lot of space in the suitcase, so pare them down!
