Now I’m curious, Cathy! What could possibly be so important that she’d call you at work?! Or is this just the way your Mom works?! ;)

My mother used to call me at least 4 times a day at work and throw a hissy fit at me if I was not available

That would not go over well with a lot of bosses. I had this problem with my children until I put my foot down. They would call and ask me silly questions like where something was or if they could have something or so and so wouldn’t leave them alone. Their dad was home by the way because he worked nights.Good morning, Cathy clan!

Wow, that would drive me crazy! I thought it was bad when my co-workers’ spouses would call and just want to talk for a while. Never understood that either. I only call my husband if it’s something so urgent that it can’t wait until that evening, and even then I don’t stay on the phone long.Hello Cathy clan! Hope you’re enjoying your Friday!

I don’t answer the telemarketers — Moms are harder, but mine has been gone for a long, long time, and I would gladly talk to her if I could.

A nice thought, Cathy’s mom, but probably not the best time.
Of course, I guess that’s the whole point of the joke. Oops. Ha.
HI, MOM. Happy Friday, “Cathy” Clan.
