It’s so nice to outgrow the stage where you worry about being cool. Nice not to feel that you have to prove anything to anyone.

GretchensMom, catsarge, lightenup, lindz.coop Thanks for the good wishes. I am starting to feel better and I know I will gain strength and endurance over the next many weeks – especially since I won’t get knocked back down again every 3 weeks. lightenup Of course you are forgiven – after all, I have not even been here every day (but I do catch up when I am here.) Unfortunately I know some people who should be old enough to know better that still measure ‘cool’ by the size of their vehicle – or the size of the engine in that vehicle. Never could figure out how size or horsepower translated into cool.

Maybe Cathy should have pointed out to Irving that the best way to become a soccer dad, T-ball coach, Boy Scout leader and the proud owner of an SUV big enough to haul around the first grade hockey team is to actually get over being commitment-phobic . . . get married . . . and HAVE children!!!!! (Yes, I know he doesn’t have to have kids to be a Boy Scout leader but it’s a VERY big incentive . . . that, and actually LIKING kids to begin with instead of acting as though he were afraid of them!)
