    Garret went out to dinner for the rest of his seedy life on the legend but there was no real proof that William Henry McCarty Jr. aka Henry Antrim, aka William H. Bonney actually was assassinated by the so-called lawman.

    So, when did people start using actual names again? I didn’t go to school with any boys named William, Robert, Thomas or James, but I knew plenty of them that went by Billy, Bobby, Tommy or Jimmy.

    le-roy, my 42 year old son, a third generation Bill, has been William for about 20 of his years. Better by far than Moon-Unit, Guano, Fester, and some of the other names. And don’t get me started on Shamiqua Al-Fatah…
