Good morning, Vagabonds. I have over 100 newly-found VHS tapes to copy to DVD and my VHS-DVD machine hasn’t been working properly, so yesterday I went off to Walmart and bought a Magnavox. I’m still learning how to use it.
I returned home early and put in an hour of deep-water treading.and found it so relaxing that I didn’t want to leave the pool. I usually place my cordless phone (not my cellphone) by the edge of the pool and it started to ring. By the time I swam over it had stopped ringing. I noticed from the caller ID that it was from my Uyghur friend in Norway and so I missed the opportunity to have the other South Florida swimmers hear me ask, “So how are things in Norway?”
Seriously, he has a kidney stone and is in pain, but the Norwegian socialized medicine won’t let him have an operation until APRIL! Instead, the doctor prescribed painkiller pills. I advised him to ask the doctor: 1) What are the side affects of the pills and 2) are they addictive?
@SWEETBILL: Well…you picked the wild-card Ravens and they won! Until the 49ers won the championship, I had been hoping for a SB game between the Falcons and the Ravens…a Battle of the Birds. But I have to admit it was interesting to watch San Fran’s Colin Kaepernick.
Hi-de-ho people..It’s some where in the teens today, snow drifting slowly out of the sky. All in all kind’a dismal out there..Got a TV question for you all: This is a short lived William Shatner TV series, with him in the show were Richard Kiel, Dave Turner and Doug McClure.Shatner’s character was similar to that of Artamus Gordon on “Wild Wild West”.have fun..ttfn
That was some game, yesterday! I really didn’t cheer for either team…….but was really concerned with that power failure……it really broke the momentum of the game! 35 minutes was just a bit too much!
Had a great party….always good to be with our wonderful neighbors!
Dkram, that would be “Barbary Coast”. I remember seeing it a couple of times. I was unimpressed.
We have a book of “Prime Time TV Shows from 1948 to Present” (Present being around 1995). We play our own version of trivia by randomly choosing a listing from that book and making the other person guess it based on stars, plots, etc. Some of them are pretty obscure, like the shows on the old DuMont network.
