My son had asthma attacks every Christmas until we found out he was allergic to the fungus that is on almost all live xmas trees. Dr told us to take it to one of the carwashes that are do it yourself…put in coins and spray soapy water at high pressure. Washed it down thoroughly and rinsed it and let it dry and no asthma attacks. We did eventually go to an artificial tree, though.

I never heard of anyone being allergic to a Christmas tree — to the resin maybe, but not in the sneezing type way.

i’m allergic to evergreens. if i get stuck by a needle i swell up. the scent of an evergreen causes my nose & sinuses to contract.
