Man: I can't believe the MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL in town is still on the market. Aunt Fritzi: Since NANCY arrived, I haven't been ON the market. When Nancy's parents died she was shuffled from place to place---Till she finally came to ME. She had NO ONE--- She had NOTHING-- Man: So YOU had to become her every-one AND every-thing. Aunt Fritzi: I had to TRY.

Adoption is such a wonderful thing. My parents could not have children, so they adopted 4 children (I ‘m the youngest), and now both my parents are gone, we are all grown up, and we are all blessed to have such wonderful people who cared alot to do such a thing. I wish to dedicate this to all parents who adopted, and cared for children they couldn’t have. :)

Cheers for Nancy. She has outlived two other greats – Little LuLu and Little Iodine. (For the younger ones, Little Iodine was a Hatlo creation along with They’ll do it Every Time and Hatlo’s Inferno)

So are we setting up for a Phil Move or a Fritzi/Nancy move?

Phil Fumble and a clear backstory (has there ever before been a strip saying in so many words that Nancy is an orphan?), Barney Google actually appearing in his own strip, Dick Tracy back on the Moon—it’s been an interesting year.
