Mr. Morsi seems to be walking a very fine line. As I type this, Egyptians are protesting however- the violence has been between those who are for or against Morsi and since the first day when Muslim Brotherhood supporters clashed with anti Morsi people, the Brotherhood has kept their people away and there has been none of the violence we saw before Mubarak fell. The military and judicial systems had moved to block some of Morsi’s powers early on and I have looked at Morsi’s actions as his way of getting them back. He has told leaders of the opposition his actions are gong to be temporary. I look forward to seeing what happens next. As a cynic, I feel he will fall into the power hunger trap, but as an idealist, I hope he truly wants to make his country whole again.Considering how hard it is for us to work together in some semblance of good faith, it is not surprising to see the troubles this new president of a “working” democracy is facing. Let’s see what the day brings before we call for the drone strikes.Respectfully,& Happy Holidayze,C.

Let them fight this out themselves. They don’t truly want democracy, most middle eastern countries don’t. It is an arrogance of America that the world has to have our system of government. Hilliary and her staff tried for months to get the original separatists to form a structured democratic party. They were too fractionated and couldn’t pull it together. The muslim brotherhood emerged to take control. The countries of the middle east have been at constant war with each other over religious issues for centuries and we aren’t going to change that. It’s a simple reality, it’s a waste of our time and resources. Both should be focused on our needs at home, let these people sort themselves out.

So according to your logic they have nuclear capability now. Since you allude to them having irrational leaders who don’t fear repercussions, we are once more back to the wall by threats from terrorists. Okay, so quit pretending and explain to the Iranians that if they develop a nuclear weapon we will bomb their nuclear facilities back to the stone age. Then do it. We’ve been playing this stupid sanctions game with them since W and Europe imposed their sanctions and started talks that the Iranians dominated and made us constantly look stupid. We have allowed this situation to get to this level, now we have to shit or get off the pot. Sorry, but there’s no nice, politically correct way to deal with this now. Of course we could just let Israel do it. Either way, if Iran gets taken down the collective world would breath a sigh of relief.
