That’s mostly because I’ve heard it’s the smell that’s the worst and my sense of smell is only semi-existent. Sinus operations when I was around 5 seem to have knocked out the ability to smell through my nose. But I can discern all tastes I’m not supposed to be able to without a sense of smell, and I can often “taste” stong organic odors. So I’m pretty sure the internal from mouth to nose smeller works. All of which would make a durian an interesting experiment for me.
