Chris Christie is being a good American and doing the work a Governor should do. I’m sorry so many Republican voices are criticizing him. It is another example of the self destructive divisiveness of which I constantly rant. Obama has handled the natural disasters of his administration with responsibility. Only Mr. Brown who ran FEMA under W. Bush has complained, “Obama is moving too fast with FEMA.” He implies the President would not have done so much if there wasn’t an imminent election. Despite the warnings of the storms severity, the number of weather and municipal professionals who expressed great concern, Mr. Brown feels there was over preperation. He forgets natural disaster following Katrina were better handled as a result of the standard he set in how to NOT respond to a disaster. Romney’s stand during the Republican primary was to privatize FEMA and make it an affected state’s problem. That is not how we do it in the UNITED States of America, and it’s a lousy way to treat neighbors.Respectfully,C.
Notice that the right wing astro-turfers are leaving this one alone. Where’s the claim that Obama created Sandy as an election maneuver? Come on GOPers, reality has never stopped you before.
Just because this `stop the rise of oceans`quote is pissing me off, here it is in context….
The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth.
Speech in St. Paul, Minnesota (3 June 2008)
Not sure how Romney got `he said he`d stop the rise of oceans`out of that.
Brown proved, like most “W” appointees, and Republicans, he’s learned NOTHING from his experiences, just like MItt. We can NOT afford to believe the dittohead view of America, or anything MItt says.
New York doesn’t WANT an end to climate change, it’s too long a trip from Manhattan to Long Island beaches, and why go to the Hamptons when Trump tower will make such a great diving board!!
All of those are things Obama’s policies would have helped, if not defeated by a Republican Congress with no agenda to aid Americans, but simply to defeat Obama.

Repubicans ratchet up the stupidity bar again by assuming that reversing climate change could also happen in about 3.5 years …
