Yep. Most males never grow up, just older.

It’s the “secret” to longevity … growing OLDER, not UP!

We don’t quit playing because we grow old. We grow old because we quit playing.

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

wait a sec…..the LOL thing, meaning :’ laugh out loud’ , right? well , I thought that was a literary expression….is it part of the vernacular now?–do people go around saying LOL?…do they pronounce it phonetically or spell it out?

^Both, but it’s funnier when people pronounce it phonetically. I don’t know anyone who’d ever say it seriously, just as a joke.

nighthawks: You must not have any teenagers hanging around. It USED to mean “Little Old Ladies” in Herb Caen’s day, but it has been usurped. We also have a variant, “lulz”, and of course the ever popular “roflmao”, as well as “omg” and “zomg”, and who could overlook “teh”. No, I am neither young nor an expert, but still have a seventeen year old. If there are any mistakes here, it’s old Dad’s fault, not that of the cool teenager.
