I am sorry. If you are going to replace yourself with another cartoonist at least get one that can mimic your style.

Harrell does a decent job. He’s closer today than he was yesterday. Give him a little time, and it’ll work out. Today’s tip: make Adam’s head smaller.

What did I miss? Why is BB replacing himself with someone else?

I thought someone else must have been doing BB’s comic. Did I miss something saying there was going to be a change in artist?

Poses of characters are definitely reminiscent of Big Top (which I love).

Adam has way too much hair, though.

I didn’t like Laura in profile yesterday when she spoke, but otherwise, so far, I think the writing and art are an improvement.

This strip had been coasting for years.

Is Brian Basset on vacation? Or did this Harrell person take over permanently?

Ouch this is painful. Looks like Adam got too much plastic surgery

Brian Basset wants to concentrate his efforts on Red and Rover, so another cartoonist is doing at least the drawing on this strip.

I like the new look, other than Adam’s head, it looks fine.

I’m so sorry, but I don’t like it. I know the characters are still Brian Basset’s, but being a visual medium, the look is as important as the writing, and moreso when a style has already been established. This artwork looks unbalanced, and lopsided. I’m sorry, it’s ragged, even. I don’t think I’m going to bother reading it, anymore.

    I prefer this.

This strip needed some fresh breath.

Theme weeks, repeated versions of the same art slightly altered/Photoshopped from day to day and writing that was forced and rushed made for an unpleasant experience.

I also like the new style. Fresh, somehow.

Big Top is one of my favorites, but Harrell’s rendering of Adam is a bit off; maybe because these are characters Harrell did not create, or maybe because he’s trying to capture Basset’s essence..

Surely he will get the hang of it, in time..

I loved Big Top, but I liked Adam better as a larger, dumpier guy. He looked more individualized. This one looks sort of generic. Besides, I loved Harrell’s bears. How’s he going to work a bear into “Adam”? And thanks, Eric Goebelbecker, for the link explaining what happened.

Is brian still drawing the strip? It has diffently changed. Are you sick or is someone else helping?

It’s just not close enough to really maintain continuity. Perhaps it will grow on me-but right now, the personalities of the characters seem to have faded.

Hello I am a friend of Brian, he has retired from Adam, with two strips he was working way to many hours. His last Adam will be the next couple sundays. Look for a Adam@home sit com coming soon. He will over see the new writer.

Sorry, this isn’t Adam @ Home. I understand the reasons, but when I ask for a steak I don’t expect to be served ground beef. Too bad, I enjoyed the strip until just lately when it really seemed to have gone downhill. I’d respect someone who doesn’t have time to put into a project if they decide to let it die a dignified death. This ain’t dignified. So long Adam…

Now this is an Adam I could grow to like.

It has an airy feeling to it. Light and crisp … not weighed down by history and a cartoonist who was clearly overworked.

It was strange because I always loved Red & Rover but not Adam. Now I can love them both!

Hello to you Adam@Home! Like a delicious Chateau Brian!

I really like Adam’s “cleaner” look, like he cares more about himself. The constant five-o’clock shadow was not pleasing.
