Yep. Body cavity searches can’t be far behind, so to speak, with so many of us clambering to be made “safe” no matter what.

Hey, they’re only your rights you’re giving up! It’s not like you were using them or anything! Just go back to texting and tweeting and calm down.

Live in a virtual world, never go out, order everything online … you’ll be safe to watch Fox while your avatar fights the terrorists in Disneystan.

Is TSA Richard Simmons’ dream job? “Duck and Cover” has morphed to “Even ducks must uncover.” Cell phone and texting junkies are killing more people while driving than “terrorists”, and doing it every couple months–at least some states are wising up- THAT ban is a federal one I can support.

There are a lot of people who do seem to think “hot pink” is the real threat to society- the most “butch” individual is the one with the bra, so this toon covers a few bases.

hey, they could save time and use less people if they would have people just fly in the nude. That would just take away the right to wear clothes. Whats one civil right to help you fly safe.

I made my last commercial flight in 2000. It is just way, way too much hassle.

Our freedom is eroding with every step towards “More & Better Security.” And the cartoon gal is right. They ARE laughing their azzes off.

And it’s really amazing how we keep hiring idiots for the highest office in the land. Other than Kennedy, it’s been all downhill since Eisenhower.

I keep saying - well he can’t be worse than _ (fill in the blank) - But time after time they prove me wrong…..

I thought it was “tighty whities”, not “tidy whities”.

    I like the Dignity graph.

avarner - “Other than Kennedy, it’s been all downhill since Eisenhower.” Since JFK followed Ike, why not simply say, “it’s been downhill since Kennedy”?

Dignity has been deemed both too expensive and superfluous by both DHS and FAA, so either get used to it or pay the necessary bribe, er, surcharge, to keep it.

    There’s always a catch.

“to understand how some one else could hate America so much they are willing to blow up their pants on a plane.”

Because there’s no hate like that back home, amirite?

I’m all for mandating a tracking device on everybody. Plotted on a map you could identify suspicious movements of any individual without bothering the rest of the population through the correlation of any individual’s physical movements with the places visited or the items he or she buys.

That would allow for more freedom for everybody else. And forget about having anyone being falsely accused as well. (False accusations occur much more frequently than what most people believe).

Privacy wouldn’t be a concern using double blind procedures. So you folks don’t have to be worried your significant other is gonna catch you going to that strip club, watching porn online, or free movies at ireel.com!

True, true, Radish. I know how triangulation works, but I am talking about a permanent tracking device. Already there is a diminute microchip some rich folks are implanted with in case they’re ever kidnapped.

MR. RALL - I am a little behind the times (pun intended) and have just seen you cartoon in the Saturday L.A. Times, it is great, but I think there may be more then a little backlash about them.

For the rest of you, if you can find it and look at it, I would think you could probably get it by going directly to the Los Angeles Times. It’s worth the effort.

Implants could be done bone deep as well; I don’t think anyone could get cancer as I don’t think fibrosarcomas are formed inside the bone. I don’t know this as I’m no scientist, but through medical research we could discover a benign material as well.

The idea is to have a clear supervision of everyone’s movements without being intrusive about it. We would just be little dots plotted on a map. Correlations would make the ones we are concerned about to stand out and leave everybody else alone. The idea is not implausible.

“The idea is to have a clear supervision of everyone’s movements without being intrusive about it.”

    Edmond:

My idea would be for you to have your very own ‘saferoom,’ a concrete sarcophagus buried 6 feet deep for your own safety.

Because otherwise sane people would just rip you to ribbons. I hope there’s still a few of those left in the US of A.

Nope, edmondd. If I didn’t put it like that, it would have been called threatening behaviour with the intent of bodily harm.

My apologies, my English is a bit rusty.

    Please die asap.
