The problem is ROMNEY is not honest. You can see the entire video of Romney, without editing, if you want. Romney, on the other hand, HAS edited Obama’s comments dishonestly (the “built that” story being the prime example). But first you have to be open to facts. It is a bad move politically for Romney to NOT release his taxes, as every single candidate since HIS FATHER, remember, has done so. Unless it will make him look worse.
Mitt brags that he only pays what’s legally required, but he spits on the 47% of the poorest Americans who also pay only what’s legally required. Don’t fall for it, people. He’s made a career out of cheating on his taxes, there is simply no other reason Cayman Islands and Swiss accounts.
Romney’s been trying to run on his experience as a businessman. Since tax returns are a pretty good indicator of business acumen, doesn’t tha make them all the more relevant?
Nothing is ever good enough for libs. You try to play nice and they just kick sand right in your face. Reid, how much money have you donated to charity? Obama, didn’t you donate around 1% of your money to charity. Bush donated 10%, Romney 30%. As Billy Graham once said, “Show me your wallet and I’ll show you the condition of your heart.” How money is given and/or spent is an indicator of values. Did Romney donate so much money to avoid paying more taxes? Maybe, but if he did, it’s because he believes that charities can do a better job of making people’s lives better than the government can.
Romney would make a lousy poker player. After vowing not to release his returns & Obama called on him to release only 2 years worth he now releases 10 years. By folding he’s starting to show how vulnerable he is & is playing with a weak hand.
I wonder how much he will make on the Sensata Corp. factory being shipped to China. The workers there had to train their own replacements as the machinery went out the door on it’s way overseas, but, Romney’s cash went overseas in the other direction to Switzerland and the Caymans.
My family has a box in the file cabinet with 10 years of back taxes we cycle through every year, removing the oldest to store the newest. The government has the right to request all ten of those years should they feel an audit warranted. If a person running for office isn’t prepared for the same scrutiny, they don’t deserve the right to lead people who are scrutinized. The fact Romney has offshore accounts only creates red flags that are not "red state banners’, but are warnings we should heed regarding the way he manages his finances before he starts managing ours.Respectfully,C.
Unlike Mitt, John Kerry’s wife was never running for office. Have they ever asked for a wife’s tax returns? I don’t hear anyone clamoring for Mitt’s wife’s returns.
Not comparable because whereas everyone who has run for prez has shown his tax returns for 10-12 years previous, but not a one has been forced to show their birth certificate (at least not publicly).
I don’t think Romney cheats on his taxes. But I don’t think Romney wants the public to see financial gyrations he goes through to avoid paying taxes. Offshore accounts and holding companies to avoid investments being counted as US assets. Things the 99% could do if we had a few million to throw arond.
This is a funny one. Full of truth. For someone who makes over 3.3 million a year and pays no taxes but yet lives the lifestyle of person earning 3.3 million.hummm.. Also, if he is so much FOR the people and growing the economy then why is he avoiding payin taxes that support his “AMerican” people that he wants to represent.

He’s not running for president…

The media doesn’t have to edit a video. Mitt does fine on his own.

By the bye…Mitt demanded that Paul Ryan fork over HIS tax returns from the last ten years before giving him the VP slot.

Yup, one year from when he was campaigning for president. How about 12 like his old man did and like Obama did?

I don’t like Romney, but I really doubt that his returns will show that he did anything illegal. They could show that he has a creative accountant.
