Good morning, Vagabonds: Last night my roommate took me to BJ’s wholesalers; I received a 2-month trial membership. I stocked up on Peanut butter, Armenian Rice Pilaf, Special K cold cereal, chocalate powder and lemonade powder. Too bad their oatmeal is instant – I prefer natural.

I still have a mass of Daily News “Voice of the People” letters to the editor to read; I think letters to the editor in newspapers offers facets to news events and articles that one may not have thought of, but I have too much reading matter.

Weather’s getting cooler. Down into the 50’s in the mornings.

    Good Morning, Village,

Arye, you have been sooooo busy! I like what you are doing to your articles to “read later”. Good idea. Glad you can pass along your Nat Geo issues as well.

It got down to 38 this a.m., and went up to 52 yesterday. I LOVE it!

Only a few more garden chores left, but they will have to wait until we get back from our “journey” to Billings.

Good mornin’ Vagabonds. Another beautiful day ahead. Ladie’s bible study at 9 and the dentist at 1 for another post-op exam.

Arye: If you can find it, my all-time favorite oatmeal is Coach’s. It is steel-cut oats and cooks up nicely. The only problem with it is that it only seems to come in a huge bag and if you don’t eat it within about 6 months, it goes rancid. Most warehouse-type stores carry it.

Morning Vagabonds..Another dark day, gloomy even. (sigh). That BJ’s Wholesalers sounds like Cosco, a warehouse store, and Sam’s Club, also a warehouse store, that is part of Sam Walton’s empire..That’s all the name droping I’m going to do, well, we do find the name of Lowe in our family line. ;-).Oh, just one more thing, where’s Slim..ttfn

@JAN, I always keep containers including the 42-ounce oatmeal containers, so when I open a huge box of oatmeal I divide it into the containers. (can’t think of the word at the moment for the cylindrical containers the 42-ounce oatmeals come in).

Ah, the word I was looking for is CANNISTER; terrible what old age will do to oneself.
