In the early days of space travel research, a cat was used in a null gravity experiment using a diving airplane. (Similar to NASA’s “Vomit Comet” training flights.) The cat spent several minutes spinning in the air attempting to land on his feet. In the end the cat was unharmed, but the pilot suffered severe lacerations.
